Tools
The same utilities from the old interNetDean menu, rebuilt for this site. Make a QR code, check if a website is up, test your typing speed, generate a password, count words, or pull colors from a photo. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
QR code generator
Turn a link, a phone number, or a short note into a code someone can scan. The image is drawn on this page. It is not sent anywhere.
Use a short address if you can. Long text makes a denser code.
URL checker
Type any public web address. This checks, from your browser, whether that site can be reached right now. It is a one-time check, not a monitor.
Recently Checked Websites
Most recent first. The name and how long ago it was checked stay in this browser only.
Typing test
A one-minute speed test. Your words per minute count only the characters you typed correctly. Five characters count as one word.
Password generator
A random password built in your browser with the secure random source on this device. It is not stored and not sent.
Click Generate
Use a unique password for each account.
Word counter
Paste a draft. The counts update as you type: words, characters, sentences, and a rough reading time.
Color extractor
Choose a photo. The main colors are sampled on this page. Click a swatch to copy its hex code. The file never leaves your browser.
PNG, JPG, or WebP.
Free AI models
These are public chat tools with a free plan. interNetDean does not run the models and does not see what you type there. Free limits change, so check each site before you rely on it.
Questions
Do these tools cost anything?
No. They run in your browser. There is no account and no upload of your password, photo, or draft.
Does the URL checker watch a site all day?
No. It checks once, when you press Check, from the connection you are on right now. A site can be up for you and down for someone else.
Will a QR code scan if I use light colors?
This page draws black modules on white, with a quiet margin. That is the combination phones scan most reliably.
How is typing speed counted?
Words per minute uses correct characters only, divided by five, then divided by the minutes elapsed. Accuracy is correct keystrokes divided by all keystrokes.
Can I use these on a client project?
Yes. The tools are free to use. If you need the same kind of utility built into your own site, talk to interNetDean.
